I’ll call you Peaches today.  I’m possessed by this ghost of a person I used to know, lol.  That ghost used to call someone Peaches.  And, I am in a state of remembrance.  I don’t read tea leaves, but I drink tea.  I can make an astrology report for ya.  I guess that’s me.  However, the ghost and I haven’t agreed upon that–when and where to reveal this information (lol, again).

Anyway, it has been a crazed summer (yeah, with this ghost and all ;) and a hot one at that.  To cheer myself up, I love looking at current fashions by way of online shopping and perusing my favorite stores, brands, and clothing websites.  As the premise of this new estate, The House Anthology, is to feature and talk about iconic fashion styles and looks in history, as seen worn on TV, in film, and read in literature, I do all of that too.  Meaning, I’ve been watching TV, and movies (to cheer myself up) to look at the wardrobes and what folks are wearing these days.

I feel like I’ve been in a crypt.  It’s been a strange one.  I’ve been kinda ill.  When someone asks you where I’ve been, just tell them that.

This is a baby doll dress for a bright spring color palette wearer.
I saw this gorgeous thing on the runway. The best baby doll I've seen in a long time...

Anyway, again, the summer has been crazed fo sho.  And, though I would’ve been loving it, I just have not been present enough for my liking.  It’s a sort of delirium.  I don’t have any friends, anymore.  Not that ghost, either.  I’m serious, too.  Be careful with your ghosts.  I’m a friendly force, and a kind one.  Not these.  They can spit, now, too.  It’s like in ‘Ghost,’ the film, when that murky, former living one who got pushed taught Sam Wheat how to push a can.  I’ll never forget that moment.

…So, I want a baby doll dress.  I think they’re pretty, very.  And, I feel so feminine and fresh (though, I’m a homeless writer living in a shelter right now) that I want one…

…but, I can’t have one.  And, I love to help, so I’ll tell you about the baby doll dresses, Peaches.  They’re super cute.  Maybe, you’ll like one or a few, or all of them.  I do hope so.

Floral Prints…

The heat is crazed, my life has been crazed.  And, there seems to be a desire for fashion in here, where I am.  I’ve been thinking about clothing…and jewelry…a lot.  I’m talking about a baby doll dress craze (I’ve seen others–crazes, too) that I located not long ago this year.  I’ve been thinking of the things since the 90s, probably the mid-90s.  I recall runway walkers in platform heels, thin girls, glamorously strutting in these swinging things that make their already, hmmm…lithe legs wrangle up and down the flat, sleek plane (called life) called the fashion arena.  I’ve marked that in the magazine in my mind.  I’m like Cinderella with her dresses.  Cinderella can keep her gowns in her head like an album that is used like candy or ice cream to pleasure a fine mind.

This is a depiction of botanical or floral-printed clothing.
Floral prints are crazy and iconic in this day.

We love a sash, Cinderella and I, and choosing one color to go with another.  And, I (I don’t know about Cinderella, but I’d assume so) love floral prints.  I love them so much, Peaches.  I do.  And, the floral pattern, which is iconic, covers everything these days.  I remember Kelly Kapowski of ‘Saved by the Bell’ wearing mini skirts, mini dresses, jean capris and overalls in pastel-ly pink flowers swirling over a base of crisp white.  She’d pair those with Keds, I guess.  Yeah, I remember that.

A floral print, or the more (for me) refined-sounding botanical print (greenery illustrated), covering a baby doll dress is soft, and maybe capable of imparting a sense of gentility as a thing chosen to cover the wearer.  In this day, do I really care if I look genteel?  Not really, however, some do.  So, that’s only me.  I think I do get a sense of that quality, not called ‘organic’ as we do call everything, now.  I’m speaking of another sense.  And, the clothes can feel super elegant and rich depending on the pattern you choose.

The print style matters a lot.  On a baby doll, that is coquettish, playful, young, perhaps, something that can give an alternative sense.  You’re a chameleon, Peaches.

This is a baby doll dress for summertime featuring a huge bow.
This dress is just a bow and a skirt. The huge bow is quite satisfying, as are the patterned stripes. The look is only for true autumn color palette wearers, however.

Patterned Prints…

A gingham print is sizzling, too.  And, be careful with your color choices.  If you are a cool-skinned person, don’t wear orange.  That tangerine is for true autumn girls, Peaches.  So, don’t go for it if you are not that.  Shakira is someone who is warm-skinned, and her (glowing, beautiful) teddy bear-colored, blonde locks and golden-tan skin tone make her a true autumn.  Julia Roberts, too, is a true autumn.  It’s her auburn-ness.

A cool someone, like Thylane Blondeau (I love to look at her photos ‘cause she’s the most beautiful) with medium ash blonde hair, is the picture of soft summer coloring.  Her plaid print should be something like pastel mauve, dark berry mauve, milky white (ummm…I’m thirsty), and soft, pastel blue cutting through.  Gingham prints or Vichy Prints, and plaid are very crisp and elegant-chic for ya this summer.

Remember the 90s…

This is a vermilion-colored lipstick to be worn by a light spring color palette wearer.
Wear a vermilion lipstick if you are a light spring color palette wearer like Gwen Stefani, Marilyn Monroe, or Baby Spice.

I was talking about the runway agenda (no) of the 90s, as those models, like (a favorite) Kate Moss would jangle down in a little baby with a huge bow at the chest, or all glittery in platforms.  Remember the lightness of our white-wearing Baby Spice with her accessories, like a ring pop or a rattle.  And, Flavor Flav had his clock.  But, no, that was the 2000s, right?  I mean Baby Spice.  The lovely singer had a pinafore, too, I think, worn over her baby doll dress one day.  There were checkered prints, platforms, again (pop-culture fashion declared another 70s disco period), and a light spring color palette.  That meant white and baby blue and pink, mostly.

I would describe those colors for light spring color palette wearers today as light aqua and light turquoise, and a wide range of pinks, including peony and true, light pink.  Though I haven’t seen her in a baby doll dress, Gwen Stefani, as a light spring, wears bright, vermilion red lipstick.

Geese.  I’m getting a bit tired.  However, I’m very happy and cheered-up.

A Mini Dress, These Days…

I saw a gaggle of mini dresses online everywhere where I go…to look…

I love the things.  And everything is in mini, now.  I mean, like I push a thought (I’m always thinking) and I see these beautiful, again swinging, or shift mini things.  I wonder if I’m too old to pull the look off, but I’ve never been one to care about a thing like that.  On a day like this, I’d love to find much mini in my colors.  That’s the deal for me.

A Mini Shift Dress…

The sheath mini thing is kinda cool, now.  And a mini shift dress, I’ve learned, is not the same thing.  Hmmm…a sheath and a shift.  A sheath or a shift…Sounds dangerous.

But not.  It’s mod.  I thought ‘mod’ meant ‘modern.’  And, a mini sheath is a sister to the baby doll dress.  I think.  I mean, if it’s mini-wear, too.  I’m just wondering if the garment imparts the same feeling over me and my lookers…or watchers (scary thought).

This is a shift dress that is pink and strawberry-colored Vichy or Gingham print for summertime.
This is it. The second favorite dress of this summer. The pink and strawberry print is beautiful on dark autumn color palette wearers.

It’s the 2020s.  Gladly, I knew I’d live to see them.  And, I have seen five of them, so far.  And, now, I love the mini shift dress.  And, an art-printed baby doll dress (like the one I’ve found with Klimt's ‘The Kiss’) is glam-gorge as *, I want to state.  A dovey (lovey) pink and strawberry Vichy print mini shift dress hit the spot as my second favorite of the season, I’ve found.  This season of heat.

Legs for Days…

I think my legs are friggin hot.  If you feel the same, make some noise ;) And, get a baby doll dress this summer, Peaches.

For Any Body Type?

I think apples, Peaches, look great in baby doll dresses.  The lines of the dress will create balance against the body’s (the body, lol) natural shape.  Wear a halter baby doll dress if this is your figure, it’s cute.  Also, if you are a pear, I think a baby doll is sex, too, because your legs, are shapely and highlighted in being quite exposed with mini-wear.  Try a baby doll that has a swinging shape if you are a straight body type, because that will accentuate your hip area.  And, if you are an hourglass, put on that babydoll, because it’s just hot.

This is a peasant baby doll dress look.
This peasant baby doll look is flattering on everyone. The coloring, though, is for light and soft summer, and soft autumn color palette-wearing ladies.

A dress for many people is what will cause a storm, because it pleases many.  I know that is why the baby doll is everywhere right now, especially in this heat.  I could have a lemonade.  And, I’ve been misspelling ‘lemonade’ since yesterday.  I saw a lemonade-colored romper that was very happy-making.  I’m gonna be talking about rompers.  I love a romper, too.  Or, a darned little one-piece.  In my mind, I’ll be getting a big glass of lemonade or water and let the condensation drip down my face or something.  I’ll make a mess.  But, it’ll just be water, so I’ll, uh…wipe it up and not get so upset.  Lemonade is sticky.  So, don’t get that on yourself.  But, condensation is just water, yo.

A Dark Autumn Color Palette…

I’m a dark autumn, so I just wanted to tell you that, Peaches.  I just want to remind you of how important it is to wear your color palette.  I am a true convert.  Once, I would choose a color, simply because I loved the outfit.  Now, because I’m clairvoyant, I think I will choose naturally, and have done, what is on my palette.  And, most people are this way, I believe.

I did learn, though, that black is not on everyone’s palette, so I’ll have to give up wearing.  Like every dieter knows, though, and maybe, that means we all who eat know, that restriction is not absolute.  So, where’s my rich black eyeliner (forever)?  I won’t ever, ever, ever give it up.  I feel that I look (and love to) like a cat or kitten with this eye look.  However, I have given up stark white, yellow, and orange.  Not that I ever wore orange; as I said, I’m calling that natural instinct.

So, Okay, I'm done...

This is a 'Bridgerton' baby doll dress.
This 'Bridgerton' baby doll look is quite romantic and sweet. That's just how we like it.

I hope this has meant something to you. No, I mean, have a nice day and a nice summer. And, remember, love your color palette and try a baby doll dress this summer. 'Cause, it's hot outside, and it will flatter your looks. Peaches.
